What You Can Do
You can speak to ingredients and their benefits — if done correctly
You can speak about the ingredients and specific product benefits, provided you are using the approved TGA indications for the specific product. You are permitted to reference individual ingredients and their general, well-recognised health benefits, provided:
- You do not mention the ingredient in direct connection with the product.
- The statement remains neutral, factual and non-therapeutic.
- You don’t exaggerate the effect or personalise it.
For example: “Berberine is a natural compound that has been widely studied for its role in supporting healthy glucose metabolism.” Avoid: “This product contains Berberine which will help regulate your blood sugar.”
Use neutral, fact-based language about FutureLab or a specific product
“FutureLab is Australia’s #1 longevity supplement brand”
“FutureLab is a science-led range designed to support healthy ageing”
“The Berberine Complex aids glucose and carbohydrate metabolism” – product claims that match the TGA indication for this product.
Show the product in a neutral context
Feature the product front-on in all shots. It can be shown in lifestyle settings, on a shelf, in your gym bag, on your desk, etc. but without showing use or consumption.
